I was born and raised in Southern California. I met my husband in 2012 and I told him I would never leave California (he lived in Las Vegas) and needless to say I have been living in Las Vegas for the past 4 years. Growing up I had a Jewish father and a Mexican mother. I didn’t realize it until I was older but we were very fortunate that we were able to learn about both cultures and celebrate holidays for each religion. (As a kid that was the best part.) I learned Spanish at the same time I was learning to talk and I’m still fluent ‘til this day. Thanks Mama for a gift I truly treasure! My parents were happily married for 28 years and have been divorced for 7 years. I’m proud to say they both seem to be very happy with their own lives. I have two younger brothers who used to call me their second mom. Apparently I was on the bossy side, oops!
Fast forward a few years, I have been married to the love of my life (truly!) for 3 years. We have 2 beautiful girls. A 14-year-old (who is from my husband’s past relationship) and a rambunctious 2-year-old. Our teenager loves to read books and is in chamber orchestra playing the violin. She is such a sweet girl with a big heart & surprisingly looks like me and calls me Mom. Our little one looks identical to my husband, it’s kind of scary sometimes. She also loves to read and will sit on her little chair blabbing to herself & flipping pages. It is adorable. I am nervous for when she gets older as she loves to do “daredevil-ish” things. Oh boy! She has an affinity with Beanie Boos, aka stuffed animals with big eyes & is literally obsessed with dogs! My little animal lover. I feel lucky to have both of them as our happy & healthy daughters. We also have a dog who was my first “child”. Her name is Relish, thanks to my wonderful father who named her. It’s always fun to explain the story behind her name since we can’t say her name in public without getting a few inquisitive looks. She looks like a Pitty (Pitbull) mix and supposedly she has some Shar-pei and lab in her as well. She is one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs I have been around. I have a very soft spot for Pitbulls especially after rescuing her and seeing how discriminated against they are and what an amazing being she is with our little one. But all around I am an animal lover of all sorts!
I started this blog as an outlet for myself since I am a stay-at-home mom and sometimes find myself just needing a place to come to. I hope to help others with any random piece of life advice I can give. Don’t forget to check out my SHOP section where I have custom floral wreaths and hairbows!
Thanks for coming!
